Planning a wedding comes with a lot of moving parts — we’re here to make things simple. Here you’ll find answers to our most commonly asked questions, plus everything you need to know about booking, payments, and policies at the Hann Homestead Inn.
General Questions
We can accommodate weddings of up to 125 guests for the outdoor ceremony and reception.
The Inn includes 5 bedrooms and sleeps up to 11 overnight guests. Only registered guests are allowed inside the Inn. We also offer the Bluebird Tourist Home next door, which sleeps up to 10 guests and is available at a discounted rate with a 2-night minimum.
Catering is not included. You are welcome to hire any licensed caterer of your choice.
Yes, we provide 6 white round tables (60") and 50 white chairs for your outdoor event at no additional charge.
Yes. A tent, porta potty, and trash removal must be arranged separately by you or your vendor team.
Yes, but you must provide proof of day event insurance covering alcohol service. Many homeowners’ policies can extend to this coverage.
Absolutely! Think of the grounds like a rental venue — you can decorate however you'd like. We also provide extras like a photo booth backdrop, wooden bar, easel, and arch.
We strongly recommend tenting the event space as a weather backup, as the ceremony and reception are held outdoors.
Exclusive Weekend Rentals Only
We only host weddings as two-night exclusive rentals. This allows couples the time and space to fully enjoy their weekend without feeling rushed.
Non-Refundable Deposit
A 50% deposit is due at contract signing and is non-refundable. This guarantees your exclusive reservation for the weekend.
Payment Methods
We accept cash or check only for wedding payments. Final balances are due 30 days prior to your event.
Separate Booking for Bluebird Tourist Home
The Bluebird Tourist Home is a separate lodging rental next door that can be added for extra guest accommodations. It must be booked independently of the main Inn.
Event Insurance Required
You are required to carry day-of event insurance, especially if alcohol will be served. In many cases, your homeowner’s insurance may offer this coverage.
Curfew and Noise Considerations
We kindly request that all events conclude by 10:00 PM out of respect for the peaceful setting and neighboring properties.
Self-Hosted Events
While we provide some event support (like parking attendants and optional use of on-site décor), weddings at the Homestead are self-hosted. Most couples choose to work with a planner or coordinator to help with logistics.
Rain Plan Recommended
Because all wedding events are held outdoors, we strongly recommend renting a tent as a backup in case of inclement weather.
Booking & Payments
A 50% deposit (check or cash) is due when signing the contract. The remaining balance is due 30 days before your event.
Due to high demand for weekend weddings, we’re unable to hold dates without a signed contract and deposit.
The 50% deposit is non-refundable, as we reserve the entire Inn and event space exclusively for your use that weekend.
No — the Bluebird Tourist Home is a separate reservation. If you'd like to reserve it for your guests, we recommend booking early to ensure availability.
Yes — state and local taxes apply to your wedding package and lodging. All rates will be clearly outlined in your contract before you sign.
If you need to cancel your event, your deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event will also forfeit any additional payments made. We recommend purchasing wedding or event insurance to protect your investment.
